Goddess Series: Forest of the Living
My Goddess Series was done in clay. The pieces are decorated in white slip and underglazes and coated in clear glaze. I fired them in my electric kiln at about cone 05. They hang on the wall. The imagery depicts two goddess-type figures...one of light and one of dark. One of life and one of death. They depict the duality and cycle of human life and nature.

This is a collection of 7 separate pieces. Each piece is a hollow cone shape with decorations on the entire surface. The pieces are meant to sit together in a rough circle. The pieces as a whole depict fertility and life symbolism.
